AHHH!!!

So a post not about the baby, just frustration!!!
Everyone knows G is away working and its not the ideal situation for me in Calgary by myself, but I have been dealing! However, the bad luck just keeps rolling my way I tell you...

Last night, while trying to be a good Mom by taking the kids (Boxers) to the dog park, I clumsily lost my balance and fell... I had myself a good embarrassing cry for a few minutes (thankfully no one was around) got back up and hobbled to the jeep! My ankle was KILLING me but I thought I just twisted it, it will be fine in the morning! Boy was I wrong! As I got up at my usual 4:30 for my rest room visit (sorry guys) I discovered that I could not walk!!! My ankle had swollen to a ridiculous size and I was in a lot of pain!!!

I called around to the couple of people I know and got a ride to the hospital...
They think its just a severe sprang and because I was pregnant, and it is so swollen they decided to wait to X-Ray it a week... If it gets better, its a sprang, if not come back for an X-Ray!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO now I am in Calgary by myself on crutches, in a condo, with two large dogs!!! Give me a break will ya!
My saving grace is that my Mom will be here on Friday! Lucky her right! haha! Now she really gets to take care of me! I have a couple of friends that have volunteered to walk the dogs today and tomorrow, so that is taken care of too! Thank goodness! Thank you friends!

Ok, that is my vent for today! :( Baby girl update on Friday!

Have a great Wednesday!

18 Wks (Last Friday)

Your baby's brain is growing rapidly. By this stage, all of the major areas have been differentiated. The cortical layers, which govern specific brain functions, are beginning to form. The fetus may exhibit signs of a primitive body language in utero, such as recoiling when the needle for the amniocentesis comes too close for comfort. Within the next few weeks, she'll be able to hear voices outside the womb and respond positively to music or loving words. It's time to fine-tune your singing and storytelling skills!

Our little girl is 18 wks, 3 days... She is growing fast and furious, and I can feel her more and more every day!!! I feel her most in the afternoons and evenings, I think she like to sleep in ;) I hope that trait stays with her after she enters this world! hehe!

In other news starting tomorrow I am officially 'part-time'! I had another scare Thursday morning with some cramping and after visiting with the doctor, finding out I have ANOTHER UTI, he has decided that it was best for me to cut my hours. I will give it to Canada that they really take care of their pregnant ladies (benefits wise), and I am very grateful for this! It will not effect my pay at all which is a HUGE relief!

I also got to see G this weekend for a little bit! Although it was short (30 hours or so) it was worth every second! I think it takes a huge amount of stress off me just being around him...
My Mom flies in on Friday and I have a pre-natal visit (which I hope for once goes well with nothing wrong with me!) that day! She will enjoy being here for that. I will enjoy having someone to go with me.

Hope everyone has a great week!

It's a girl!!!!

That's right everyone, we are having a little girl!

We are so excited for her to get here! I am really excited to see how fast she has her Daddy wrapped around her finger (which I don't think will take long)!

She is healthy and very active! No denying she is Graham's child! Every ultrasound she likes to put on a show! Kicking, punching, and dancing around like crazy!!! Lets just hope she is a better dancer than her Daddy ;) Sorry babe, but you know its true! hehe!

Below are some pictures from our Saturday ultrasound... Enjoy.

Defiantly a girl...

And maybe giving the camera the finger... Probably for taking pictures of her 'parts'! She is a lady after all ;)

Have a great week!!!!!

P.S. Good Luck Callie on Friday! Cant wait to meet Chad.

A little Late...

I was sick last Friday so I didn't post this, but our little baby is an onion!!!
Hopefully a little sweeter... She is mine after all ;)
We found out what we are having last Saturday and I will post it in a separate post!!!
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Stress anyone?

First of all, in baby news... No real new news!
I am 16 Wks, 3 Days and he\she is growing fast and furious (or at least my belly is)! haha!
Still no kicks to speak of, but hopefully soon. We have another ultrasound on the 15th and I am very excited to see what the peanut looks like now!

In "Us" news (me and G)...
After G's current job (the reason we moved here) came to a sudden halt, he started looking at other options and trying to find a job that paid well, and fast! Thankfully he was offered a job on Saturday (maybe too fast :( )! The good news is, its a GREAT paying job. The BAD news was he has to be there to start work on Wednesday and its in Regina!!! For those of you not familiar with Canada, that is about 7 1/2 hours away from where we currently live! Like the title says "STRESS ANYONE"! Its a 3 month job in which he works pretty much 12 hour days, M-S (Sundays Off)!
So with me 4 months pregnant G will be leaving tomorrow! He is just as upset as I am about this but he\we have to do what is right for the family, and financially, with a little one on the way he had to take it! I am hoping to make it out to Regina a couple of times, and we will hopefully meet in the middle a couple of times for a Sunday? I know its going to be so very hard, but we are both praying that we will be strong and the time will fly by! But please keep us in your prayers...

On a positive note... My Mom is coming to visit me July 24th-August14th! It will be such a stress relief to have her here helping me with the dogs and such! Plus I wont be nearly as lonely :(
Please pray for her as well... It will be her first time flying and she is pretty nervous about it!

That is all for now...
I will have another baby update and a new fruit or veggie for Friday!

Have a great week!
