Bah Blog....

I seriously think about things I should blog about multiple times a day but every night I decide my bed sounds better than typing and I honestly cant remember what I wanted to blog about!

Updates on my girls....

Hadley has been 'potty trained' for 3-4 weeks now! It was a frustrating start, but just like everyone said it all of a sudden just clicked for her! It was AMAZING!!! She pees no problem and rarely has an accident, but going number 2 is a whole other story! She will HOLD it as long as she can (up to 3 days) and then go during the night with a diaper on? I really am not sure what to do other than just be patient and hope that it clicks soon? She is just afraid and I have no idea how to help her with that! Our other major dilemma is that is absolute petrified of public restrooms?????????????? I mean if I even walk toward one she starts screaming a holds on for dear life? The only thing I can figure is that it is the noise, but am I seriously going to have to drive around with a potty in the back of my car forever? I am taking any and all suggestions on both of these problems! ;)

We start gymnastics on Monday and Pre-school on Tuesday! Its going to be a VERY busy week for us. I am really hoping she adjusts well to her new school and loves her new teachers as much as she loved her teachers at her daycare in Calgary! She will be going T,H mornings from 9:15- 11:30! I am not going to know what to do with just one kiddo on those days!

Ivy Mae is growing like crazy! She is now pulling up on everything! She is so fast on all fours and is usually chasing Hads around the house! Ivy is participating in the Fall Baby Crawl this weekend! I am so excited about it. I will defiantly post pics asap! We went to meet our new doctor one Wednesday and learned Ivy has gained 2 pounds in the last month! Girl.can.eat! She is loving table foods and I still haven't found something she doesn't like! She was 18.5 pounds (with clothes on)!

Graham was just home for 2 weeks and it was great! The 2 weeks away are so hard, but the 2 weeks home (every single day) are amazing! We got so much accomplished around the house and it is really starting to feel like a home.

Sorry this was pretty boring, but like I said, never anything to say at the end of the day!!! haha.

8 months?

Blue Eyed Beauty

Love my Mum Mum Crakers

I melt :)
8 months? Really? Cant believe our sweet Ivy Mae is 8 months old already (yesterday)!

Ivy Mae you are such a blessing in our lives! You bring us joy every second of the day! Mommy, Daddy, and Hadley love you so much.

At 8 months you are:

Laughing and giggling constantly
Babbling like crazy
You have you two bottom teeth that you got at 6 months but there is a top tooth peeking through and I suspect will be out any day
Still sleeping through the night
You always start off in your own crib but most nights that Daddy is away you find your way into my bed for cuddles :) not sure if thats for your benefit or mine ;)
You're still nursing 3 times a day but may be losing interest?
Eating 2 solid meals a day, with a yogurt snack at bed time
You started crawling a week or 10 days ago. You do a funny little one footed army crawl most of the time
You are biting everything and everyone, no thanks to the teething
You are back to HATING your carseat so we keep our time in he car as short as possible
You still LOVE your baths and really love it when Hads joins you
Still very attached to Mommy but we are working on it
Weighing in at just Over 16 pounds! I can't remember your length but it was 75%
Between a size 2 and size 3 diaper. A 3 defiantly fits you better so once our stock of 2's are gone we will be buying 3's

Happy 8 Months Ivy Mae!
I can't imagine my life for one second without you

Love Mommy and Daddy

Ivy Mae - 6 Months

Little Miss Ivy Mae is 6 MONTHS!!! Well she was a week ago today, but as usual I am very behind!!! She is as smily and happy as ever! She has really come out of her shell since we have been in OKC for our visit. She is much more willing to go to people besides me! She even had her 1st night away from Mommy this weekend!!! She and Hadley did so well (almost too well ;).
We havent had her 6 month check yet since we are in Oklahoma so I dont have 'doctor' stats for you but she weighs (roughly) 14 1/2 pounds!

We had a HUGE milestone today..... TEETH!!! Thats right teeth, not tooth! Little missy woke up with both of her bottom teeth poking through! I have been saying for the last week that I though one was coming but 2 was a surprise! I am so relieved that they did not come with the diaper rash that Hadley had. Other than her chewing on everything she could get her hands on and a little extra drool, they we really no other symtoms.

We have been having a blast in OKC and the weather has been awesome, but I am afraid the HEAT has arrived... They are calling for 102' or higher every day this week... Hmmm. I wont complain though because before we know it, winter will be here!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Potty Training Frustration...

Well we decided last week that we were going to spend a week and really focus on potty training. We have tried a couple of times for a day here and there just to see if we thought she was ready but decided she wasn't. We really thought she was this time but after 5 days we decided to give up again. We had a couple of semi successful days but then all of a sudden she decided she was terrified of the potty! She would tell us she needed to go but the second we got to the restroom she would just start crying and saying no, no, no! I really don't know what else to do but defiantly don't want her to be afraid of the potty. We decided that maybe she wasn't ready and since we don't want to force her that we would take a break for a while. She still tells us when she 'goes' but if we ask her if she wants to go sit on the potty its always NO!
We are headed to OKC next week so I am not sure when we will try again unless she just starts asking to go..... Maybe July when G is down???

I am not concerned at all since she is not even 2 1\2 yet, but my concern is ' when do we know she is ready?'Any and all tips are welcome.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend

Weight Loss?

Those who know me will probably read that title and roll their eyes, but let me explain...

I know that I am a 'small girl'! I know that I have an insane metabolism and a small frame! I know that I am not fat, nor do I have a weight problem! However, after 2 babies I have some serious insecurities about my body. I am back to my pre pregnancy weight (maybe a pound or two less) but feel like my stomach has NOT come back like it did after Hadley. I 'feel' pudgy and "soft"! Whats worse is even though I HATE what I look like I have absolutely NO motivation to do anything about it. While we were in Calgary I was going to the gym and in boot camp 3 days a week for about a month! I worked my A** off for a solid month and honestly saw NO results! We have been in Saskatoon for 5 weeks and I have worked out maybe 3 times.... I am so tired at the end of the day and just feel like whats the point if I am not going to see any results??? Is this the way my skin/stomach is going to be forever?

We are heading to OKC for 7 weeks which means HEAT, HEAT, HEAT, therefore, swimsuit, swimsuit, swimsuit!!!! And I have girls weekend at the lake with some of the most beautiful girls in OK! I am so excited to spend time with my wonderful friends but not sure it will help with my self esteem :( Hopefully its all in my head (I know it is NOT), I get some motivation to do something about it (if I can), or everyone else I am around is magically blind! haha. JK about the blindness....

If anyone has any magic remedies for skin tightening getting those abs back, please pass them along.

Have a great weekend everyone...
Despite my insecurities I am so excited to get home!!!!

Seriously Jamie?

I get so mad at myself for falling off the blogging wagon!!! Not because I think I have legions of followers, because I doubt I have a single regular reader, but because I love going back and reading about the girls at certain ages. Its become a bit of a baby book for both of them to hopefully read one day. I feel so guilty because I have really fallen behind, and was so much better when it was just Hads :(

So once again, I am committing to blog more regularly!!!!

This month as been a whirlwind of a month!!!
To start- G finished school! YEAH!!!! We are so proud of him! He completed his Petroleum Engineering Program with a 3.96 GPA, while having a family, playing hockey for the school, and working full time during the summers!!! I honestly don't know how in the world he did it!!!
He started his job with Encana on May 7th and so far is really liking it! The time away is really hard for all of us, but hopefully it will get easier as we get use to it.

We have been in Saskatoon since April 28th. It has been so nice to get to spend time with G's family and Hadley is completely obsessed with her cousins, especially Lexi! We have 2 more weeks here and then we are off to OKC for 6 weeks!!! I am so ready to be home for an extended period of time! I am not sure how much downtime we will have but excited! I have my girls weekend at the end of June, my sisters bridal shower, and then Bachelorette party, visit my Mom and BFF in ARK for a few days, and then my sisters wedding at the end of July!!!! Like I said, not much down time... Excited to spend time with friends and family and make our "future plans"!

Now the girls:

Hadley:
Hadley is just the sweetest, funniest little 2 year old that I have ever known! She is always giving hugs and wants you to kiss every owie that she has! She loves her cousins and thinks Lexi pretty much hung the moon. Its so funny to watch them together. She eats like a horse! We joke about not knowing where in the world she puts all of that food, but the girl can eat! She is still tall and lean. Wears 3T shirts and needs to wear 3T pants for the length but the poor girl doesn't have a bum to hold them up (thanks Mom! haha)! Thank goodness summer is coming/here so that she can wear shorts! She is such a great big sister! She is always wanting to help with Ivy. She brings the diapers, is always hugging her and wanting to hold her! I LOVE watching the two of them together. To be such a creature of habit, she has done remarkably well with all of the moving around in the last month! I am hoping she does as well when we get to Oklahoma! The 1st couple of days is always a challenge with her sleeping....

Ivy Mae:
Oh my sweet Ivy Mae. You are such a little bundle of joy! I cant believe you are 5 months old already. You love to talk, you are a GREAT sleeper and eater, and man oh man do you love you Mama!
You are such a happy baby! You can roll from your stomach to your back, mostly because you HATE your tummy time and roll off your stomach the second we put you on it. I think you could sit in your bumbo for hours! You love to watch the kids playing and never want to miss out on anything. You have also become a very big fan of the exersucer. I am amazed at how fast you are growing! You will be starting baby cereal in the next week or two and I am not sure I am ready for that just yet! You are still in 3-6 month clothes, but I am not sure for how much longer... You think Hadley is the funniest person you know! You are a huge Mommy's girl!!! As long as I am in the room and you can see me you are a happy girl! If I leave the room its a whole other story! While I love this, I also hope you will start liking other family members soon so that I don't feel so guilty when I have to leave you for an hour here or there....
I am not sure how much you weigh but I will be sure to get your stats before your 6 Month post!

Ok... my goal is to post again this week.... We will see ;)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Ivy Mae - 4 months old (yesterday)

I started this 3 days ago....

Our sweet baby girl turned 4 months old yesterday!
I know everyone says it but it just goes to fast!

We had her 4 month check today and she is still perfect!
She is weighing in at 13lbs, 3 ounces (50%) and 25 1/2 inches long (90%) and I never remember the head circumference but it was still in the 50% so measuring perfectly healthy in all categories.
She is down a little in weight but I think its just because sprouted up in length. She is a little taller (1/2 inch) that Hads was as 4 months, but also a little lighter ( 3 ounces).
She is still drooling like crazy and I have days where I think she is starting to teethe but who knows!
She is still HATING her car seat but has days that she is better than others. She has rolled from her stomach to her back a few times, but has no interest in rolling off of her back. She probably still doesn't spend enough time on her back to learn, haha! Girlfriend loves to sit up! She feels like  she is missing out if she cant see everything, AT ALL TIMES!!!

We love this sweet girls so much

Such a strong little one

Love

Such sweet smiles

They love each other so much :)
Our Internet gets shut off tomorrow and our big move is Saturday so it may be a while before I am on here again... Have a great week everyone and wish us luck on the move!
