Christmas 2013!

Christmas was so much fun this year. Both girls understood it more this year. They still get very confused with their birthdays being a week before and get way too much stuff, but it was fun! We introduced Buddy the Elf (Elf on the Shelf) this year and they LOVED him! They still ask where he is some mornings.

Christmas Eve was hosted at our house this year. We played games, decorated cookies, went sledding, and ate way too much food! It was so fun to have all of G's family here! The girls love their cousins so much and thankfully they all get along! ;) We opened Christmas Eve boxes and had fun with our matching PJ's.

Christmas Morning we woke up and watched the girls go crazy opening presents! They were so excited! We then had breakfast, got ready for the day, and headed to the farm (Lee house) for Christmas Day! There the kids were spoiled with even more presents!!!!
There was more speeding, visiting, and MORE food!

It was a great Christmas and I feel so blessed to be apart of this amazing family.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to everyone...

Baby #3

Wow. I have been really slacking when it comes to updates with this pregnancy.
There hasn't been much to report. I am almost 22 weeks. Feeling good for the most part. My blood work came back awful but I fully expected that. I am severely Anemic and my blood doesn't metabolize iron the way it should so I am almost always iron deficient, especially in pregnancies. My doctor started me on an iron supplement today (on top of the iron that is in my prenatal) so we will see if it makes a difference in my next labs. Baby was kicking a jumping around at my appointment today when she was trying to get a HR. She was surprised that I couldn't feel it but looking at my 20WK ultrasound it is because of the position of my placenta. It is mostly upfront and wraps to the right side. So when I do feel kicks or punches they are always on my left or down low. As the baby gets bigger it won't matter where the placenta is I will be feeling a lot more kicks!
I was having some blood pressure issues (very low) which was causing a lot of dizziness but it seems to be better (for now). Our 20WK ultrasound went well. I should saw baby look great to the tech! But to us we didn't see much because the little stinker slept the entire time!!! And was pretty much folded in half! haha. She will send us for another one in my 3rd trimester so hopefully we will wake baby up this time. Baby is measuring almost a week ahead which isn't surprising since I thought their first read was off. I have gained 10.3 pounds, HR was 142 today… FUlly in maternity clothes! I don't seem to be swelling anywhere yet (fingers crossed I won't). Skin has calmed down a bit. Still no sweet tooth to speak of but I can take down chips and any dip like a champ. Love cheese, and grilled cheese sandwiches are a serious addiction!
I don't have any baby pics to show because baby really didn't cooperate but I will leave you with last Sundays belly pic!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Ivy Mae- 2 years old (yesterday)

Sweet Ivy Mae,

I am sorry I am a day late… The downfall to having 2 birthdays within 9 days of Christmas is it is BUSY!!!

Anyway, my precious girl, you are such a delight. Mommy, Daddy, and Hadley love you so very much! I can't believe its been 2 years since you made your very fast entrance into this world! You have changed so much over the last two years. The first year of your life you were attached to me! And I do mean attached… You were such a Mommy's girl. You were so shy and seemed to be afraid of pretty much everyone! After you turned one you really started coming out of your shell. You are defiantly still a Mommy's girl but you have have become quite the outgoing little girl! You love, love your Daddy! And you do so great with your Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Grandpa! You copy everything big sis does! You love your puppies! You are an absolute spitfire!!! You see something you want and you TAKE it! You have a very short temper (my fault)! But you also forgive quickly. You love to give hugs and have great manners! I love when you say please and thank you with your sweet little voice! Your laugh is infectious. You love to cuddle and be held. You are FEARLESS!

Hadley - 4 Years Old

My sweet beautiful loving baby girl turned 4 years old today! How can it be?!?!?
I remember every detail of the day you were born. I feel so incredibly blessed to be your Mommy. You have grown into such a little lady. You are silly and shy. You make me laugh multiple times a day. You are so sympathetic to others. Always concerned if someone is crying or upset.
You are such a great big sister! You are sweet and patient with Ivy Mae. You are an amazing hugger and love to give hugs to everyone. You are still a great cuddlier and I am so happy that even though you have become such a big girl you will still let me hold you 'like a baby' and rock with you.
You love preschool especially your teacher Mrs. Knisley. You love going to school and even though it is still very hard for you to talk to others, you have gotten so much braver since the first day.
You are such a smart little girl.
You know your ABC's, count to 30+ in English, count to 10 in Spanish, spell your name, know your birthday, and so much more. We are working on letter recognition and starting to write your letters.
You are left handed.
Size 8/9 shoes
4T tops and 4T bottoms, except jeans because you are so tall but thin we still buy 3T skinnys and just tuck them into your boots.
Weight: 35.7 Pounds
Height: 40.5 in Tall

You love all thing outdoors but really LOVE to go sledding! You absolutely terrify me flying down those big hills but you have so much fun!
You are also learning to ice skate with Daddy!
Swimming is still one of your favorite things to do.
You are becoming quite the little gymnast and we are excited to see you in the 4 year old class starting in January!
You also did very well in your community dance class this year.

Favorite Shows are:
Jake and the Neverland Pirates
Curious George
Dora the Explorer
Princess Sophie

Favorite Movies:
Little Mermaid
Cinderella
Tarzan
Tinker Bell (any of them)
Tangled

Favorite Foods:
SOUP! Seriously you would eat soup everyday for lunch!
Cereal (right now is Fruit Loops)! I try to make breakfast in the mornings but all you will EVER eat is cereal.
Still not a huge meat fan but will eat a few bits every night
You have a serious sweet tooth and LOVE chocolate!

You Love animals (still). Baxter is your best friend and sleeps with you every night.

Hadley,
Mommy, Daddy, and Ivy Mae love you so very much and we are so proud of the little girl that you are.  Thank you for being such a blessing in our lives.

Potty Trained!

So a few weeks ago I decided to try Ivy Mae on the potty.
I thought she was far too young but every time anyone else went she demanded to go! This included taking a diaper off wherever we were and then trying to get it back on! so I thought I would give it 3 days, no pressure on her, if it worked it worked, if not oh well! I could NOT believe how fast she picked it up! The 1st day was about 50\50 accidents, making it there. The second day was she was making it 75% of the time and by day three she had maybe one accident!!!! Since then we have been diaper free! She has the occasional accident when no one is paying attention (in the shower or on the phone) but she has been a rockstar! She even poops on the potty which was the biggest challenge with Hads (and most kids).
Our goal was that she could be potty trained by the time the baby came but never in a million years did we think she would be potty trained at 22 months!!!! She is such an eager little learner and wants to do anything her big sister does so I can't take any credit for this… She was easy!

On the flip side my amazing little sleeper has been a sleeping terror the last few nights!!! I think she is getting molars in, if not she is seriously possessed by something very scary!!!! Last night she screamed for almost 3 hours!!! I tried everything! She wouldn't let me rock her and hit, kicked, and thrashed around when I tried to hold and console her. I am hoping tonight is better because I can NOT take many more of those nights…

Family of 5!

So I am just getting around to blogging about it, but yes, we will be a family of five next year!
I am 15 weeks along and due May 5! The girls are very excited about it and both obsessed with babies! Graham is constantly saying that if Hadley has anything to do about it she will be the only one holding "her baby"! I am defiantly less nervous (about their reactions) than I was when Ivy Mae was on the way! The are such a great little team and I am happy that they have each other especially in the first few weeks where G and I are in zombie mode and the baby needs a lot of attention!

As far as the pregnancy goes, its been…. blah….
The 1st 13 weeks were full of exhaustion and nausea!!!! Thankfully Im in the 2nd and it was always such more more pleasant with the girls and seems to be with this one as well. I have been battling vicious headaches but hope those will pass soon as well! Baby look perfect on our 13 week ultrasound. Jumping around and wiggling like crazy. Heartrate was 154. We don't have another ultrasound until December 18 but I am excited to see how much bigger he/she has gotten. We are still saying we aren't going to find out the sex this time, but we will see if one of us cracks when we are in there ;)

Other than that life is business as usual. I am going to try and post more in the next month or so (I know I have said that before) because this is the BUSIEST time of the year for us! Both girls birthday and Christmas are around the corner!!!! I am sure that means lots of pics to come!

Have a great week!

Where did all the Bloggers go???

Ok Ive always been a bad blogger, mostly because I dont feel like I have anything to say that people will actually want to read, but I really just started it when I was pregnant with Hads so I would "remember" things... I blog steady for a few weeks and then go off the grid for a month or two, but I check the blogs weekly to read everyone else's blogs. I love reading other peoples stories! I love that it makes me feel closer to Home and closer to the people that I only see a couple times a year (if that)!
So I am sad that everyone seems to have stopped blogging!!!! I miss reading about "you" and "your families"! So as the title askes.... WHERE HAVE ALL THE BLOGGERS GONE?

Hopefully summer was just crazy busy and now that school has started and fall is arriving everyone will come back :)

I have a lot to blog about from the last two months and will hopefully get caught up this week....

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week
