Balloons... Warning, Sad read

I talked to my best friend last week from the town I grew up in White Hall, Arkansas (small town) who shared a heartbreaking story with me.... I only share it because I would NEVER want this to happen to anyone so hopefully youll spread the story and it will NEVER happen again...

A couple in her church a few years older than us tragically lost their 3 year daughter last week.
The couple has 3 boys and their youngest was a 3 year old little girl they called their "surprise baby". The Mom was at work and Dad was home with the kids. He put his little girl down for a nap and after what he thought was just a long nap he went into check on her and found her not breathing... At some point she must have got out of bed and grab a ballon and was playing with it in bed... She somehow ended up choking on it while alone in her room...

As a parent I cant even imagane losing a child! My heart breaks for this family and hope that you will all say a prayer for this family as they lay their little girl later today...

 From my friend:

Please help this family during this difficult time. There is no life insurance for Estee. As parents, none of us think we will ever have to use it. There is an Estee Gober Memorial Fund at Simmons Bank. All contributions would be greatly appreciated. Bank address is PO Box 7009 Pine Bluff or 501 S Main PB in c/o Estee Gober Memorial Fund

Please keep balloons OUT OF YOUR HOUSE!!!!

Ivy Mae - 3 Months- a few days late of course!

Ivy @ 3 months:

Weight: 12.02 LBS
Height: 23 1/2 Inches (as best I could tell)
Almost exactly what Hads was at 3 months...

My sweet baby is growing up so fast! I couldn't believe how big she has gotten. I just want time to slow down a little! She happy and healthy so we are happy! Still sleeping like a champ from 8:30-9am to :815-8:45am. Her daytime napping schedule is getting a little more consistent. She STILL HATES her car seat, but I feel like there has been a little improvement. She is eating about every 2 1/2 hours now so I am getting a little bit of a break. She is in MAJOR Mommy phase right now and really only wants me holding her. It is flattering and exhausting all at the same time. I am sure it is just a phase and she will be loving everyone again soon.
We moved her to size 2 diapers!!! It sucks though because the 2's are really too big still but the 1's are way too small!!! We had a pack of left over 1-2's and those worked great but I am pretty sure we bought them in the States because we cant find that size anywhere here???? I just got done washing all of her 3-6 months clothes!!! Most of her 0-3 still fits, but shirts are defiantly getting snug. We took her swimming for the 1st time last Sunday and she LOVED it!!!

Her are a few pics from the last month... Please excuse my rough look ;)

Loving the water

trying to get good picture of both of them! Hadley just wanted to go back to the slides...

sweet smiles

Lately....

So another week off of blogging but I had a pretty good reason... We went to visit G's family in Saskatoon last week. We decided a couple of weeks ago to go during G's midterm week so that he could have plenty of study time. He is so ready to be done with school! I am so proud of him and he has worked very hard over the last year and a half. He is a full time student (8-4, M-F), played hockey the 1st year and is a full time Dad and Husband. He is often up very late and up early studying. He has anywhere from a 3.85-4.0 every semester! I DON'T know how he does it.
We had a great visit is Sask. Hadley got lots of play time with her cousins and I had a great visit with friends and family.
We have less than 7 weeks until G is done with school and MAJOR decisions have to be made. Its very exciting and slightly terrifying. We are hoping to get an offer from G's ' dream job' sometime this week. I will keep you updated on what is to come over the next 7 weeks.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday!!! Its back to the gym for me today! 3 weeks off is ridiculous! It is time to get serious! :)

Ivy- 2 Month Shots and check up

Yesterday was Ivy's 2 months check up. We were about 11 days late since we were in OKC last week and I was dying to see how this little girl had grown. What I was NOT excited about was her 2 month immunizations :( For some reason I thought it would be easier with her since I had been through it all with Hads... Well it was NOT easier! I do not think the Mommy's should be the ones that have to go through watching /holding them while they get 3 shots in their sweet little legs! My sweet girl cried so hard. She did calm down fairly quickly but the sound of her 'pain cry' was enough to bring tears to my eyes. Daddy might have to take her for her 4 months shots!
Ivy's Stats:

Weight: 11 pounds, 4 ounces = 50%-75%
Length: 23 1/4 inches = 50%-75%
I don't remember her head circumference but it was also 50%

She is perfect and healthy but I was surprised because she was bigger than Hads at birth but smaller at her 2 month check??? Interested to see what the 4 month check comparison will be.

Ivy is such a good baby. She loves to be held and cuddled and is a big time Mamas girl. She is very curious and has to see whats going on all the time! She HATES her car seat but has started taking a soother in her seat and that seems to help some. She loves watching Hadley and the dogs. Generally likes baths, but hates getting lotioned. She is an amazing sleeper! She goes to bed between 8:30 -9:30 (depending on the last feeding) and sleeps until at least 7 am! I am praying it stays like this! Her napping schedule is getting a little more consistent throughout the day. She has 20-30 sleeps every 1 1/2-2 hours of awake time and usually has one big nap 1-2 hours in the afternoon around 2 (again depending on feeding times). She still eats about 8 times a day or every 2 hours!!! I am longing for the day of 3 hours in between feeds. But as long as she is gaining weight and healthy I am happy. She is smiling and cooing all of the time! She is her happiest 1st thing in the morning. She lays in bed with us just smiling and "talking" waiting patiently for me to feed her.
She is wearing all 0-3 months clothing and is getting bigger and bigger every day. She is very strong, just like her big sister!

Her are some of our favorites from her newborn session @ 2 weeks and some from our OKC trip.

2 Posts in one day!!! Amazing!!! haha. I will try to fill you in tomorrow on whats going on with me and G.

Back to Blogging...

So its been 2 months since my last post!
I cant believe how hard it is these days to actually sit down and write a post. Mostly because if I do have time to sit down and I am not holding a 2 year old or a 2 month old, I am probably sleeping! I am not complaining because I am so in love with these 2 little girls, but it is BUSY!

I am going to break these up in a couple of posts...

Lately and Hadley:

Hadley has been so great since Ivy was born. To be honest I was terrified of how she was going to react to sharing Mommy and Daddy, but it was for nothing! She has never shown an ounce of jealousy and love, love, loves her little sister. She is constantly wanting to hug or kiss her and wants to help with everything. I love seeing them together and am excited to see them playing together one day.
We got back Sunday from a 9 day trip home to OKC. The trip was great, but too short. The girls traveled well and our only issue was Hadley sleeping. At home she is a GREAT sleeper! Our bedtime and nap time routine are similar... we get pjs on, have a bedtime snack, read books, brush our teeth, say our prayers, give hugs and kisses, lay her in her crib and say goodnight. She goes to bed on her own and has since September. Never fusses or cries, usually hear her talking to her elephant until she falls asleep :) Well in Oklahoma sleeping was a nightmare. She is a girl who loves routine and familiarity... No crib, not her room, equaled screaming bloody murder every time we left a room while trying to get her to sleep. This meant she didn't always get a nap (because we gave up) and Graham slept with her every night. Ok, it was 9 days and we survived. We got home on Sunday and she is STILL not going to bed on her own. We have gone back in time and are battling her crying at nap time and bedtime. I hate it so much! Even though we only let her cry for 2,3, 5 minutes at a time its the longest 2,3,5 minutes of my life! To make it worse she now has pink eye in both eyes!!!! I LOVE our daycare (2 days a week) but HATE the sicknesses that spread around with kids. Seriously, 1 day back and she gets pink eye???? She wont let us put the drops in her eye (I dont blame her) so we physically have to hold her down while screaming to get them in her eyes... Poor little girl has had a rough week, and Mom and Dad aren't loving it either! We are heading to Saskatoon on Monday to see G's family so we will see how the sleeping goes there? Praying better since G wont be there until Friday....
Hadley at 2 years, 2 months:
She is talking lots, loves being outside, still loves her puppies, weighing in at 30 pounds, wearing 2T's in clothes, and 5-7 in shoes depending on the brand. Favorite food is cereal-mini-wheat's (yuck), her Daddy is her hero, and she loves saying hello to anyone who calls these days and swimming is probably her favorite thing to do.  Funny moment was every plane we boarded last week she walked down the isle, stopping at every seat to say hello to the other passengers (she was a hit)!

Hadley and Great - Grandpa... Best buddies!

Having some dinner with friends.
